Firefox inches towards 50%, not exactly…

posted 3 years ago

Joe Brockmeier from zdnet.com reported that according to W3Schools data, Firefox climbed to 46.4% in February, while the various versions of IE dropped by 1.2% to 43.6%. But that figure is among developers and NOT regular people.

In reallity the Mozilla foundation was up again in February by a slim 0.14% to 21.77%, while IE dropped again by 0.11% to 67.44%. Safari’s market share was slightly down at 8.02%

To sum up, things remained where they were 6 months ago. IE is clearly struggling but neither firefox nor safari seem to be able to bring the deciding blow against Microsoft’s IE.

The only news here are how Joe put up a big fat title “Firefox inches towards 50%, Safari holds steady” on an otherwise boring report in order to earn couple more diggs and clicks… shame, shame :)
