Stroke your pet with the Tenga Egg

posted 2 years ago

tenga egg japan onacap ona-cap masturbator 2

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. This probably THE WEIRDEST “gadget” we found this week. The Tenga Egg. No it is not an egg. And no you can not eat it. But you can feed it to your “monkey”. Apparently it is the latest and greatest technology when it comes to spanking your monkey.

Tenga Egg

Today Kanojo Toys reported that the Tenga Egg has been released in 3 versions: clicker, wavy and spider, but there is no information on pricing. This masturbation contraption may be odd but it beats the hell out of apple-pies.

There is also a video on YouTube below so that you can see what the fuss is about.

Canadian PC maker releases powerful fan-less Mini PC

posted 2 years ago

Toronto based PC maker Stealth.com announced on Friday the LPC-625F a fanless mini Core 2 Duo. At Just 200 x 200 x 60mm Stealth.com’s LPC-625F is only slightly larger than the size of a hard cover novel yet surpasses the performance of most industrial and embedded PCs available today. Stealth.com succeeded in fitting a Penryn Dual Core P8400 CPU (optional P9500), from 1 to 4GB of RAM, 120 to 500GB of HDD Sata with optional SSD, Intel GMA X4500, HDMI & DVI Out, WiFi, etc.

Designed without cooling fans the rugged extruded aluminum chassis acts as a heat sink to dissipate internal heat and provide noise free operation.

The downside is that it costs $1,595. That’s almost 3 times more expensive than a Mac Mini but it is also more powerful than Apple’s mini. The only thing that is bad about it, besides its price, is that it is but-ugly!!!!!

Palm Pre delayed till the end of the year?

posted 2 years ago

posted 1 day ago

Loads of rmors have been flying today regarding the Pre. The “reliable” rumor-monger Commercial Times  is reporting that Compal Communications, “will be forced to postpone its shipments of smartphones to Palm from mid-year to the end of the year.” It goes on to say that, “Palm’s two smartphones will be delayed as Compal is waiting for Qualcomm’s new chipset solutions that will enable better performance.”

We can’t be sure however if they talking about the Pre because Palm has stated that the Pre uses a TI OMAP processor which conflicts with the Qualcomm part of the report.

We don’t now if there is any merit in the rumor. Only problem is: Palm has been very quiet since the rumor broke. We are still waiting for a statement from Palm.

Sparkle: A 3D virtual world for the iphone

posted 2 years ago

As iphone 3.0 gets closer and closer to shipping more and more companies give us a glimpse of what they have in store for all those iphone users. A Tokyo-based company called Genkii is working at creating a new 3D avatar-based virtual world [called Sparkle 3D] like Second Life and Project Entropia.

sparkle_iphone_first_virtual_world

Apparently Genkii had been working on Sparkle 3D for quite some time, but they still have not released any details on when the app will be available. Sparkle will utilize the new iphone OS 3.0 technologies like peer to peer networking and the micro-payment system. The potential for a 3D avatar-based virtual world tailor-made for the iphone [and ipod touch] economy could be enormous for the company. According to TechCrunch, the company is now actively seeking angel investment to accelerate development of Sparkle 3D.

The only app Genkii has in the App Store is a $5 IM app that ties into your Second Life IM account. The company has also been working on its One Coin Comics project which aims to bring interactive comic book to the iphone masses.

Get emoji on your iphone

posted 2 years ago

We all know that iphone native apps that enabled emoji are no longer available at the iTunes app store. It turns out you can still get them through iphone web apps like Emojinator. This fun web app enables you to use the popular Japanese Emoji icons on your iPhone or iPod touch.

Emojinator screenshot

Emojinator uses no hacks to enable Emoji - it is completely safe. The desired Emoji icons are listed on the web app’s site for you to chose. Once every Emoji you want is selected, you can send them to Mail with the push of a button. The most recently used Emojis are stored at the top of the list for your convenience even between visits. This web app only works on iPhone or iPod touch because the Emoji icons are special unicode characters only interpreted by these devices.

WTF: Dual-sim phone/razor. Is it for reals????

posted 2 years ago

Engadget run a story of a “Cool758 razor phone really can shave”. Besides being an electric razor the phone has dual-sim capability, a touchscreen, and a 2 megapixel camera to fall back on. No word on price or availability.

Is this for real? Or is this an early April Fools joke? And more importantly when will they release a phone that makes hot macchiatos and espressos??

Apple’s Multi-Carrier strategy

posted 2 years ago

We have received a lot of emails regarding Apple’s strategy. As we suspected Apple has a multi-carrier strategy throughout europe, with the exception of mainly countries like Britain, Germany, Spain and Austria.

In fact out of the 10 countries that Vodafone had announced deals back in May 2008, in 7 of them there is not an exclusive deal. [Australia, the Czech Republic, EgyptGreeceItaly, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey]. We suspect that there are no exclusive deals in Portugal, South Africa or New Zealand either. This is probably GOOD news for those of you who live in Portugal, South Africa or New Zealand. We cannot confirm whether there were exclusive deals that lapsed or not. So drop us a comment on whether in your country there was an exclusive deal or not.

It turns out that Apple has been pretty open to multi-carrier deals around the globe. You can go and check it out yourselves at Apple’s site [Thanks to Dan and Clarissa for pointing that out].

Is Apple changing its strategy for the iphone?

posted 2 years ago

It looks like Apple is changing its strategy for the iphone. New developments in Europe show that Apple maybe dropping its exclusive deals.

In a surprise press release by Cosmote [mobile phone carrier owned by T-Mobile] in Greece, they announced that they will be carrying the iphone from Monday 23rd March 2009.

Vodafone is already flogging iphones in Greece since June ‘08. Vodafone Greece had hinted that they had an exclusive deal, when they first carried the iphone 8 months ago.

In Italy Vodafone holds a non exclusive deal to carry the iphone as Telecom Italia also markets the phone in Italy.

Both countries were in the same batch of countries announced very quietly back in May 2008.

Vodafone to Offer Apple’s iPhone in Ten Markets
06 May 2008

Vodafone today announced it has signed an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the globe. Later this year, Vodafone customers in Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey will be able to purchase the iPhone for use on the Vodafone network.

So, has Apple broken out of an exclusive deal with Vodafone GR? It is rumored that Apple is disappointed with the way Vodafone markets the iphone in countries were it has no retail presence [No Apple or apple stores in Greece]. The answer is probably NOT.

It is more likely that Vodafone in Greece never had an exclusive deal or had a very short exclusive period [6 months]. BUT the question that begs to be answered is in how many countries does Apple hold non-exclusive deals, or exclusive deals that have now lapsed or are about to lapse?

Could it be that all 10 countries Vodafone quietly announced it was marketing the iphone [Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey] are all of them non-exclusive or have a short exclusivity period???

No, this is not a chopped up body of a maid, nor is it an inflatable doll… it is a PILLOW!!. Yes that’s right, it is a pillow, and apparently it is anatomically designed for a good night sleep. It is freaking weird! but it is coming from japan so we don’t mind that much, Japan always comes up with crazy, pervy products. You can buy it here for ¥ 2,499.00 [about $25]. Apparently lots of people have been buying it and not all of them from japan…

Finger-licking good USB drives

posted 2 years ago

Do you remember a story that made the news in most blogging sites like gizmodo about a guy named Jerry Jalava, who had an accident while biking, losing his finger. He got an artificial finger made of silicon, and instead of just giving it logical sexual uses, he decided to make it even more useful and embed a 2GB USB drive inside. The result was equally as gross as was fascinating.

Well it looks like there is more usb-finger-action coming our way. It is the USB Yakuza Thumb which you can go and order online [¥ 6,600.00, about $60] and satisfy your finger fetish. If you are wondering why it is called yakuza, it is because in Japan the yakuzas have the habit of cutting fingers and other bodily parts off of their enemies. Check the photos below, they are finger-licking good.
